Crash, Boom, Bang!

So, here we go. Let us see if I can be better at this blog than my last. Maybe I can inspire myself, rather than depending on outside inspiration. -sigh- We’ll see.

Just to give a quick synopsis…
While thinking my relationship was moving right along towards healthy, I was informed, that I was misinformed. I am a single woman as of the day after my birthday; Jan. 21, if you don’t know. After six years too, you’d think that would inspire some more effort, but obviously not. Too much emotion to give more detail here. That is enough info anyway.

Now on to more interesting things. Just before my ousting, I was working on some Grr..animal pieces for my blue and gold Victorian outfit.

I had a hell of a hard time trying to decide which color pouf to use. I settled on the gold, as you see in these two pictures.


Between the burgundy and blue was hard though. The ladies at Truly Victorian BB helped a lot though. It was pointed out to me that the Burgundy was a whole new color, making 4; too many. The blue, while a moire like the pleating at the bottom of my underskirt, was a totally different blue. See above…
The skirt is finished now, and you can see the bodice pieces pinned to my new dress form, just for the visual. The VISUAL! I love my dressform! I will use it lots and lots.

I have not worked on it more yet because now I have to go to CA for a week and visit the bosses. Then I return, pack all my stuff, move it to a storage garage, pack my van for winter in TX, and then GARF, and finally drive to TX stopping in MO, to see my Aunt. All of this sucks! Of course seeing Auntie is always nice, but still. I would rather stay “home” for the winter with “my” man, and make clothes and watch the cats get fat! Ok, that is all the whining I can stand even from me.
